My name is Antoinette Prince and I am an experienced qualified therapist.
I have worked with vulnerable people within a variety of settings and organisations for a number of years.
I have a BSc in Psychology and Sociology, as well as, a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. As a member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) I adhere to their code of conduct, practice and ethics. You can find my details on find a therapist at www.bacp.co.uk; the BACP accredited voluntary register, www.bacpregister.org.uk; www.findatherapy.org and www.Bark.com
Between March 2007 and December 2010 I worked as a therapist at the Wandsworth Association of Psychotherapists (WAP) situated in Balham. Since July of 2010 I have worked in private practice using rooms at The Stepping Stones Natural Health Care in Battersea.
I am also a tutor at a college in West London where I teach on the CPCAB (The Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body) L3 Counselling Studies Course.
In private practice I work with people experiencing moderate mental health issues such as: Abuse, Anxieties, Culture, Depression, Eating disorders, Identity, Isolation, Low self-esteem, Low self worth, Loss, Relationships and Stress. These issues are by no means exhaustive and by giving me a call on 07747659375, you can arrange an appointment to discuss the issues most important to you.
My way of working is called integrative which simply means when working face-to-face with clients, I combine a number of theorectical approaches, those being Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic, Person Centred, CBT and Intercultural. I also incorporate elements of NLP, coaching and mindfulness.
Understandably, making the decision to have therapy can be a daunting one. The sheer idea of talking candidly, to a stranger can be really scary and may fuel anxieties. Therefore, before making a commitment an initial assessment is essential. In short, this process is one of expression, exploration and assessment.
At SW11 Counselling we create a safe and confidential environment which enables clients to feel comfortable and address issues affecting their well-being.
